I wish to comment regarding an event that should have made the front page news instead of a back page in our paper last week. It's in reference to the "Chinese warship" almost hitting one of our Navy cruisers.
The proper action should have been a message to the Chinese ship to alter course and adhere to proper maritime rules, followed by a shot across the bow 10 seconds later if no change in course correction had been detected.
However, this just turned into another instance of our gutless administration bowing to the Chinese instead of showing some gumption.
