It's no question that illegal immigration is a major issue in the United States. On a daily basis, I hear or read stories of the negatives of immigration, but I would like to also see something about the positives of immigration once in a while.
I understand that people get mad and sometimes they have a reason to be mad, but that doesn't change that there are positives to illegal immigration. There are positive things that come out of this situation, but most of the time people seek the negative.
A positive outcome is that they contribute to our economy, which 13 percent of comes from agriculture. We are the country's third largest exporter of agricultural products. The owners of these successful farms are U.S citizens, but those who help make it happen are not even legally here.
Without them who would work the fields? I know I wouldn't and probably neither would most Americans. As a Hispanic child, I grew up watching those around me work in the fields and not because they loved doing so, but because they just wanted to make a living no matter the pay, because in their home country it would be far less.
