The change of our name from Kennewick General Hospital (KGH) to Trios Health will bring about a variety of emotions from excitement to confusion and folks trying to figure out exactly what this means and why we did it. I, too, went through my own share of emotions as we journeyed through this process, but I am confident that this was the right thing for us to do and now is the right time to do it. We are starting a new journey. One that will permeate everything we do and say. It is about how we serve our patients, interact with our community and work together. It is about our bright future.
With this change, we are building upon a great heritage built over 61 years with the special brand of service we are known for -- one patient at a time. We have expanded our services greatly over the years to include one of Eastern Washington's largest employed physicians' group with offices across the Tri-Cities. We offer primary care and a full range of specialty care from cardiology, oncology, pulmonology, neurology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology -- just about every "ology" is available to the citizens of Kennewick, Richland, Pasco and beyond. Our Trios Southridge Hospital will open in the Spring of 2014 and our current hospital on Auburn Street will become Trios Women's and Children's Hospital. We no longer provide just general medicine. And we are no longer just a hospital. We are a complete, community-based system of care. We offer more than a dozen locations around the Tri-Cities including the Auburn Street hospital, Trios urgent care centers, Trios care centers (physician offices) and other specialized services like Adult Day Services and Home Health. While we are not the same organization of 61 years ago, we offer the same compassionate care focused on the members of our community.
We are Trios Health. Whenever you need us, however you need us, we're with you for life. ...
