The Affordable Care Act sailed through the checks and balances that this country was founded on as it passed both houses of Congress, was signed by the president and upheld by the Supreme Court.
Now the Republicans in the House are trying to bargain to eliminate it. And it was voted on more than 40 times! For one party in one branch of government to override the process is a disgrace. It is not right for the 800,000 government workers and their families and the American people who depend on those services. I want the old Republican Party back that did not take the "my way or the highway way" approach and worked with the Democrats to solve our nation's problems. The Tea Party is the biggest part of the problem in Washington, D.C.
