Our mail system is the best and cheapest in the world, and Americans appreciate it with all respect. Our elected government officials are well serviced with benefits. However, they do not seem to be representing the American people any more.
What are our representatives -- Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell and U.S. Rep. Doc Hastings -- doing to protect the mail system?
Our Constitution allows us to approve or disapprove the mail system, which was established for all citizens. Do we want the system to be taken over by a private company? A better solution may be to simply raise the price of the stamps by five or ten cents -- or whatever is needed. It still would be the best mail system in the world.
