The Tri-Cities is on the verge of something very grand as each of the three cities has come together to form the Regional Public Facilities District. That was quite remarkable in itself. Of course, the big thing is the opportunity to establish a family indoor aquatics center -- a facility that will adequately serve our entire region with more features than any one jurisdiction could do alone.
We won't have to travel to Moses Lake or Pendleton to a water park anymore. We will not have to wait in long lines or settled for our second choice of swim lesson times because they'll be available 12 months a year.
To those who say, "It has to be in my city," does that also mean we must have a carousel, a Toyota Center, a Reach Interruptive Center and a performing arts center in each city.
Come on Tri-Cities -- what is good for one is good for all. We can't wait to vote yes.
Never miss a local story.
