Thanks for the show
Last weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of attending The Drowsy Chaperone at Hanford High School. We went last Friday -- opening night -- and were completely blown away.
We have come to expect high quality from every Hanford High School show, but even so, we were floored. Every number in the show was flawless, and these included tap dancing; a blindfolded actor on roller skates; huge, energetic dance pieces; ballads belted right from the heart; and everything in between.
The actor playing "Man in Chair" (essentially the narrator of the show) had excellent comedic timing and really pulled the whole thread of the story together. And let's not forget the biplane that makes its way on stage!
Never miss a local story.
At the end of the show, we were exhausted from laughing and applauding so much. But then we decided we just had to take friends to see it the next night, and we laughed and applauded all over again. I cannot recommend The Drowsy Chaperone enough. It is a true triumph! Additional performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Way to go, Hanford High drama and the entire cast and crew of this production!
