I first heard the Three Rivers Dulcimer Society play their Jam in D at the Tumbleweeds Music Festival in Howard Amon Park on Labor Day weekend a few years ago. The music and the group were energetic and fun. I went to their next jam and they welcomed me, as they do all who attend. They gave guidance on getting started and taught me how to play a mountain dulcimer. I am grateful to them and proud to be a member of the group.
Three Rivers Dulcimer Society is now celebrating its 10th anniversary of playing and sharing the joy of music with the community, playing at local events and for seniors. We play a variety of music, including Celtic, folk and traditional tunes. While the focus is on mountain dulcimers, other instruments are invited to "join the jam," getting together to play, usually on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
