On behalf of Richland Citizens for Good Schools, we want to thank the Richland and West Richland communities for their incredible support of our schools, children and community with passage of the bond.
Specifically we thank:
-- Richland School District staff who stepped up to hold sign rallies, make phone calls, hand out door hangers and more. Those who volunteered showed their commitment to kids and education.
-- Parents and students who also participated in all those activities, including the PTA and PTOs that showed such strong leadership.
Never miss a local story.
-- Voters who don't have children in the schools and still supported the bond, recognizing the broader impact of good schools.
-- The school board members for their vision for the bond.
-- Plumbers and Steamfitters Union 598 for contributing money, a phone bank location and dozens of hours for delivering and installing signs.
A 66 percent passage during tough economic times is a clear declaration from this community of the high priority we place in schools. Thank you for doing what's best for our kids, schools and community. We eagerly look forward to seeing the bond's vision realized.
