A pro-business group now sets the interest rate the banks pay. This is unfair. There are millions of Americans who live off their life savings and the bank interest those savings generate. Businesses and the citizenry; two very different groups, but both groups are American and both are represented by Congress.
To be fair, Congress should hear the interest rate needs of both groups, debate the differences, then set an interest rate that if fair to both. That is the American way.
