Guns don't kill people -- period. People kill people.
We have 20,000-plus gun laws on the books and this has done nothing to stop gun violence.
If removing guns from the public is the answer, then what is the next step -- knives? Look at the United Kingdom and that people there who buy stab vests to protect themselves from knife violence or glassings (look it up if you don't know what it means).
Never miss a local story.
Since the dawn of mankind, we have been killing each other for any number of reasons, but we have been killing each other nonetheless. Be it a rock, stick, knife, sword, staff, gun, bomb, chemical weapons, nuclear bomb or crematoriums -- we work to find ever better ways to do just that -- kill humans.
This is not an issue of whether or not I own a AR-15, AK-47, a really heavy maple branch or box cutters (remember 9/11, when more than 3,000 Americans were killed in one day? Humans kill humans.
If you want to change the violence, you need to change the way people view human life.
