Having a roof over my head for my entire life has been a blessing that some people even in this area are not given. The economy is in a terrible spot, and the budget deficit is not shrinking in any way. People have lost and continue to lose homes because of shrinking funds.
The way I see it, people who have been trying to better themselves should be helped by the government, but people who have become obsolete in their efforts of finding a new job, etc., should not be given financial support unless disabled.
The government has done a terrible job in using welfare as a support for a limited amount of time rather than a monthly paycheck.
