The ethical bankruptcy of the Republican Party is on full display with its widespread campaign to subvert the voting process.
It is ironic that the Republican Party has been passing laws in many states in the name of preventing voter fraud, when it is these laws that are the demonstrable voter fraud of our day.
At this writing, courts in eight states have overturned such laws. This attests to that fact that these "ID Please" laws are simply aimed at reducing votes among Democratic-leaning constituencies, notably the elderly and minorities. In Pennsylvania, it is reported that up to 1.8 million voters could be instantly disenfranchised.
Where overturned, some Republican election officials have taken to distributing fliers that imply that ID is required, when it is not. Operatives have been removed from polling places where they were implying that ID was required.
Republican election officials have distributed voting machines unequally, creating 12-hour waits to vote in some Democratic-leaning precincts. The broad extent of this tells us that the Republican Party is the problem.
Take the reins away from Republicans until they can act like responsible stewards of the public trust. Vote for the party that respects voters, the Demo-crats.
