REBECCA MARTY, Kennewick
The members of Cub Scout Pack 126, Blue Mountain Council, would like to express how much we enjoyed Heritage Days at Sacajawea State Park. We had a lot of fun learning about what things were like back when Lewis and Clark came to this area.
All of the exhibits and displays were interesting. Special thanks to the wood-carving demonstrator who presented our pack with a carved owl. And thank you to those operating the display who allowed each of us to take our very own replica of an arrowhead.
We were impressed with the spinning and weaving demonstration at the textile display, the mountain men who showed us how to make fire and did the blacksmith demonstration, the lady doing the beadwork, the tour of the museum and the "arrival" of Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery.
Never miss a local story.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this such a fun, educational experience.
