Here we go again. Congress is trying to fix something that doesn't need fixing. Members are concerned that thousands of foreign students graduating from college are returning back home and using their education to compete against America. What? So they are proposing to allow 55,000 work visas to these students to keep them here in the United States.
Do they not realize that we have thousands of American-born college graduates who can't find jobs? What is wrong with these people in Washington, D.C.? The president enacts part of the Dream Act so he will get the Hispanic vote, and now Congress is wanting to pass this foreign student bill. Both are and will contribute to higher unemployment among U.S. citizens. But I guess that doesn't matter as long as they can continue to buy votes.
Isn't the purpose of hiring a president and Congress to look out for Americans? If this is such a issue, don't allow so many foreign students to study at our universities. Oh, can't do that. They bring with them big money and that trumps all values and common sense. Write your Congressman if you agree. This is bogus.
