DAVID L. GLESSNER, Wallula
Freedom is not free. When an American ambassador is murdered, the event broadcasted in foreign lands, the American flag taken down, burned and the flag of a terrorist group raised, there should be an instant deadly response.
Our president and secretary of state apologizing instead of defending America is almost treasonous. Peace through power is the only negotiations radical groups understand. Tax generated foreign "aid" must change. The taxpayers, each year, send $2 billion, just over $3 per man, women and child, to Egypt. Their "elected" leader, who said he would not run, has declared America is Egypt's enemy. Is sending money to Egypt aiding and abetting the enemy?
As a hard-working, taxpaying, American I am proud of what the red, white and blue represents. I am sorry the current president and secretary of state are not. The current foreign policy of peace through apology emboldens our enemy. Being politically correct weakens our ability to protect American interests and other civilized democratic nations. With 200 words I tried to express the position America is currently in. The enemy is funded, recruits and operates from within our borders. Political correctness is destroying open discussion and voicing an opinion.
