Lilarani Dasverma's letter to the editor Sept. 10 about the wonders of Obamacare health care services to women "at no extra cost" was revealing about much of the current American psyche.
Heck, it's hard not to get excited when you get something for free, right? I'm sure everyone would be excited if, along with Obamacare, they also had Obamafuel, where every American received a tank of gas every month "at no extra cost," or Obamaphones, where everyone received a new cell phone every year "at no extra cost."
The only problem is that Dasverma and others forget that there is no such thing as "no extra cost," i.e. "no such thing as a free lunch." Somebody else is paying for your "no extra cost" healthcare.
Perhaps what she should do the day after she receives her future health care procedures "at no extra cost" is to thank any toddler she sees for paying for her "no extra cost" health care for the rest of their lives.
