Thanks to President Obama, America is going broke, with a debt approaching $16 trillion. The millions Obama spent on job stimulus went to finance multiple failing (now bankrupt) green energy companies without solving the unemployment crisis.
Obama has blocked the development and use of natural gas and oil resources, eliminating the jobs that would boost our economy. Meanwhile, gas and oil prices and unemployment escalate.
Obamacare is the largest tax ever levied on Americans and would force every insurer to provide "free" contraceptives. Obama took $716 billion from Medicare to fund Obamacare, which has resulted in doctors and hospitals across the country turning away Medicare and Medicaid patients.
Paul Ryan's plan to revitalize Medicare is vastly different. He proposed Medicaid to be sent as a block grant to the states so that health care for the poor can be overseen by local officials. For those 55 and older, Ryan advocates a Medicare premium support plan, enabling individuals to use vouchers worth nearly $15,000 to purchase health insurance from a wide range of providers.
If people preferred traditional Medicare, they would be able to keep it. This would save Medicare by creating greater choice and competition, improving quality of care and driving down costs.
