I support Kennewick General Hospital's effort to build a new hospital facility at Southridge. KGH has been a vital member of our community for 60 years, but its current facility is unable to keep up with the demand for quality health care. Not only will a new hospital be able to serve more patients with state-of-the-art equipment, but the increase of new health care jobs provided by this facility will also become a needed non-Hanford related economic engine for the Tri-Cities.
KGH was built by this community and has been accountable to us throughout the years. As a downtown Kennewick business owner, I can attest to KGH's unselfish involvement in downtown revitalization. I trust KGH will continue to responsibly manage its operations and deliver excellent patient care. We need to make sure that KGH has our community support as it works hard to provide us with the services that are so critical for the quality of life our citizens of all ages deserve.
