In regard to the "UFO" story on Aug. 1. I, too, saw the lights -- three set of lights in a row. I was on the west side of Richland when they passed over me. The first set of lights turned north. A second later, the second set of lights turned north. Then the third set of lights turned north.
I was able to observe a green light on the lead plane's starboard wing, a red light on the port wing and red strobe lights on the belly and tail.
The second craft only had red strobe lights on the belly and tail. The third craft had the green and red wing lights, red strobe on the belly and tail and his landing light on. Sorry, not alien.
Never miss a local story.
I periodically see these crafts traveling in threes. I think they are ferrying (delivering an aircraft from one place to another). They always go east to west or west to east.
