To the man who was upset by the free lunches for children (Letters, Aug. 10): I'm happy to live in a community that doesn't want kids to go hungry. And I like the fact that we have Dial-a-Ride for seniors so they can get out even if they can't drive.
Working together to help the weakest thrive makes the whole community stronger. That's not a bad use of my tax dollars.
