I not only disagree with the Supreme Court's health care ruling; I am disgusted and sickened. SCOTUS missed a golden opportunity to drive a stake into the heart of the overreaching liberal establishment which has been using the commerce clause and the taxation authority of the federal government to advance their agenda and increase the size of the government. Instead, Justice Roberts' actions have only made matters worse by compromising and not protecting the Constitution and our freedoms.
However, to be fair, I can't help but suspect that Justice Roberts may have had an ulterior motive though like galvanizing the Republican base so that they would get rid of this odious legislation and the one who imposed it on the American public against their will without being accused of judicial activism. This would have been a noble purpose; however in doing so he provided a legal precedent for expanding the already bloated federal government. Historically the governments could only tax goods, services and incomes, but now they can tax us for not doing things. That just about covers everything including our freedom of choice. We are on a very slippery slope; my friends that slope just got a lot slipperier.
