The past two weeks have been a roller coaster to say the least, but I must say that I am totally impressed with the horse community in the Northwest.
I am Bob Lawrence from the Sun Downs Training Center. I have to admit that all the letters and positive feed back that I have received since the termination of our lease has left me feeling really proud of all the things that we did at the center.
In particula, "Friday Night Lights." This was started in February as a way for people to get their horses in shape and develop them into the horses they need to be come summer, when the girls are competing at the rodeos and big-time barrel racing competitions.
We kept the cost down so people could come, and we did it every Friday so everyone had a chance to make it. This was a fun thing to be a part of. This also gave the center a chance to collect some minimal but necessary arena fees.
Never miss a local story.
I believe that Sun Downs Center was catching on as a community riding center and would have become stronger financially as time went on. We had lots of hopes and dreams for this facility, and we are very sad to be out.
