May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month, yet all I hear about in the Tri-Cities is breast cancer. I'm not against supporting breast cancer awareness, but October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, not every month of the year.
We have young and old dying of brain cancer here in the Tri-Cities, but is there any coverage? Not that I've seen. I lost my husband of 40 years, after a difficult, 21-month battle to glioblastoma multiforme stage 4 brain cancer.
We know of others here fighting it and many who have already died from it. Help me bring awareness in the open here. My husband, a Vietnam veteran, had not ever been sick before and was very physically fit, but then a brain tumor was found, and our lives totally changed that day. It not only changed his life, but all of the family was affected by it. Please help me! Thank you.
