A magical evening took place Saturday. The Mid-Columbia Symphony along with the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers, the Yakima Symphony Chorus, the Mid-Columbia Ballet and Richland School District's Children's Choir production of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana sparked a truly memorable evening of great performance.
This miraculous event was a showcase of talent rarely seen. Kudos to Nicholas Wallin, Justin Raffa, Scott Peterson and Debra Rogo for their dedication and determination. Accolades to soloists Molly Holleran, Karl Hedlund and Jeremy Irland. Applause to the orchestra, singers and dancers who provoked and inspired the audience.
There could be no more dramatic illustration of the need for a performing arts center. While the Windermere Theatre supported this great production, just imagine what our local arts community could bring to the community if it had the kind of facility the Tri-Cities deserves.
