The Herald editorial board made a comment in its endorsement of Alberta Redwing - "in addition to running an office and keeping a budget."
Her ability to handle a budget is shown in her Public Disclosure Commission records and filings.
She has underreported her campaign on two occasions. This is a budget of less than $10,000. Her numbers are $500 higher than she reports.
She has publicly claimed to be a "forensic technician," yet there is no evidence she has a degree in that field. In fact her website doesn't claim anything but training and certificates.
Never miss a local story.
Google "forensic technician" and read the response.
John Hansens does have a bachelor's degree in accounting.
He also brings to the office the stability of 31 years as a police officer and 21 years as a detective and specifically as a trained death investigator.
Redwing on the other hand has had a spotty here-and-there career.
The Herald said it viewed them equally qualified. I disagree.
John has a folder documenting his education and training, and it can be produced. I have copies of all of Redwing's PDC filings and can point out the sloppy reporting.
John Hansens should be your new coroner.
