New regulations are being proposed by the Obama administration that lay heavy burdens on Washington citizens and businesses. Many states have begun opposing regulations that clearly are outside the realm of the federal government and which are expressly given to state governments. More and more people share this belief that the federal government should respect these constitutional boundaries. They believe that government operates best when it is limited in scope and efficient in spending. This is best achieved by returning more control to local and state governments and the legislators who make the rules close to the people they represent.
After reviewing the candidates for the Washington Legislature District 8, Position 1, I believe Republican Brad Klippert most closely shares this view. He is extremely approachable and a good listener. His voting record is one of opposing taxes and wasteful spending. He supports lifting the burdens that have stifled economic growth in Washington and which makes businesses look elsewhere to locate. I am supporting state Rep. Brad Klippert.
