Didn’t we vote in $35 car tabs a few years back? Didn’t we vote that before the fee could be raised, there had to be a vote? My $35 car tabs are pushing a hundred dollars!
It’s only $30 for the actual tabs, but then these greedy politicians (state and local) start digging into our wallets in new and inventive ways. We pay for the weight of our vehicle, then they charge you $3 to the the local court in order to convince them to take your money, add a $.25 charge to the local court to operate their computer system and $.50 to operate the computers at the DOL. (What? Are we using coin operated computer systems?)
Then there is the $5 “sub-agent” fee. What is a “sub agent” and why do I have to give them five dollars? After they have ripped you off for all these additional charges, which are called anything but a tax, and just to be sure that we understand that they don’t care what you voted in, they add a $20 fee for “Transportation Benefit District”.
Welcome to Washington. Welcome to Richland. What a rip off.
