I support Larry Haler and Brad Klippert because they are truly champions of the community and leaders not beholden to any one special interest group, especially at the local level.
Larry Haler has my vote. He has brought back to the community $200,000 for the Meals on Wheels Kitchen, $6 million for the CBC Richland nursery school, $3 million for the Port of Benton rail spur, $6 million for PNNL infrastructure, $1 million for the West Richland sports complex, $5 million for the National Guard Armory and $5 million for SR 240 off-ramps, among other community projects.
Brad Klippert has my vote. He has worked tirelessly to strengthen our DUI laws and improve protections for victims of crimes. He listens and responds to the needs of his constituents.
Haler comes from a family of teachers and Klippert is a school law enforcement officer. They understand the needs of our teachers and have worked tirelessly to support them, successfully having education bills signed into law.
The local newspaper supporting their challengers make you wonder sometimes if their editorials are truly independent opinions, especially this election season. When marking the square on your ballot, be sure to mark the boxes next to Haler and Klippert.
