As diverse as we can be, it’s safe to say all of us care about what we’re putting inside of our bodies. We hoot and holler about the lack of labeling of GMO’s, but would also rather deny the calorie content of our foods if it means having a mentally peaceful outing. Personally, being someone who has a few extra pounds to spare, I would rather not see the estimated caloric intake on menus. Your favorite food at a restaurant could contain as many calories as your daily recommendation. If one chooses to eat out, they know the type of challenge that lies before them. Calorie counts on menus absolutely change the entire food game and will make you think twice about that alfredo, and opt for the side salad. The truth hurts.
