RICHLAND -- The Columbia Basin Chapter of the Native Plant Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Washington State University Library and Consolidated Information Center (WSU Library & CIC building), Room 210.
The featured speaker will be Bob Carson, Professor of Geology and Environmental Studies at Whitman College. He is one of the authors of a book on the Wallula Gap, Where the Great River Bends, A Natural and Human History of the Columbia at Wallula.
Carson will talk about the Wallula area as a microcosm of the Inland Pacific Northwest and the process of writing the book.
