A few odds and ends for your viewing pleasure...
— On a programming note, we’re no longer using “odds and ends” for these roundup posts. “Mishmash” uses fewer characters, thus leaving more room for an actual headline.
— The Seattle Times’ new political blog is reporting that Sarah Palin will be replaced by Cindy McCain at Wednesday’s fundraiser at a private home in the Seattle area. It’ll still cost $1,000 a plate, even if you don’t eat.
— The Secretary of State’s office has broken down the August primary turnout by age bracket and, to no one’s surprise, turnout increased with age. Among voters 65 and up, 72 percent turned out. For voters in the 18 to 24 range, turnout was 18 percent. Turnout was only 19 percent in the 25 to 34 age range, 27 percent in the 35 to 44 age range, 41 percent in the 45 to 54 age range and 58 percent in the 55 to 64 age range.
