UPDATE: In a world where nothing is as it seems...

Tim Eyman gets his own movie. No (bleep).

The Battles of Tim Eyman is premiering Tuesday night in a theater in Anacortes.

It’s not rated, which makes it “unrated” and therefore marketable to teenage boys. Though it’s no doubt rife with boobery my guess is they’ll be severely disappointed.

I’ve posted the trailer below. It’s even got a guy with a deep, scratchy voice narrating.

“He’s outrageous. He’s unstoppable. He’s Tim Eyman. And he’s fighting for you.”

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Yep. Little bit.

“What's not to love about this?” Eyman asked in an e-mail.

What I want to know is why the movie poster isn’t already hanging on my office wall.

The movie already is available on DVD. I just moved it to the top of my Netflix queue, where it appears readily available. I’ll let you know what I think.

In the meantime, if you watch it don’t forget to rate it over at the Internet Movie Database. It’s yet to receive five votes so no rating is listed. It’s been given only 1.4 stars out of five so far at Netflix.

Here’s the trailer, followed by one snippet from the movie.

UPDATE: According to Netflix, I'll be getting the movie in the mail tomorrow (Tuesday). So look for my review later this week. And if you're trying to order it but are told "very long wait," well, now you know why.

UPDATE: Eyman phoned in to say, in part, that while he won't be showing up in a limo or tuxedo, he is bringing a three-foot-long stretch of red carpet roll out/drop.

During the conversation Eyman revealed that he is a big movie buff. So I asked him to name the greatest movie ever and he said Rudy.

And that is, of course, incorrect. Everyone knows The Godfather is the greatest film of all time.

I also asked him to name the worst movie ever and he said Showgirls.

“You love it because it’s so bad,” Eyman said. “You can’t make up your mind if it’s a comedy or soft porn or serious drama.”
