A few odds and ends here as the news continues to pile up...
— U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Auburn, has jumped to a 10-point lead over Democratic challenger Darcy Burner in the latest SurveyUSA poll. He’s up 54 percent to 44 percent in the 8th District race, Washington’s most competitive.
— Republican Public Lands Commissioner Doug Sutherland and Democratic challenger Peter Goldmark met with the Herald editorial board Monday and engaged in a meaty exchange over campaign contributions. You can check out our story here.
— I’ll be listening in today on editorial board meetings with candidates for state treasurer and attorney general, so I may have more here on those later.
UPDATE: PolitickerWa.com has the story on the latest poll by independent pollster Stuart Elway, which shows Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire leading Republican challenger Dino Rossi, with her lead varying from four points to 10 points depending on how Rossi’s party affiliation is identified. Those polled preferred “GOP” to “Republican.”
