A few odds and ends for you...
— The Public Disclosure Commission today decided to forward to the Attorney General’s office a complaint that the Building Industry Association of Washington and the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties have not fully accounted for money they're spending to back Dino Rossi’s gubernatorial campaign. The Olympian’s Brad Shannon was there and here’s his story.
The BIAW responded angrily, saying the PDC “applied election laws in unprecedented, convoluted and grossly unfair ways to fabricate a ruling against the Building Industry Association of Washington.”
— The Yakima Herald-Republic is reporting the House Democratic Campaign Committee has dropped $30,000 in the race for an open House seat in Yakima’s 14th Legislative District. That’s helped Democrat Vickie Ybarra extend her fundraising lead over Republican Norm Johnson by a near three-to-one margin. It’s far wider when you consider cash on hand.
This is a tough district for Democrats to be sure. But with such a sizable fundraising advantage over House Republicans, it’s the kind of race they can afford to throw money into and see where it gets them.
