Republican precinct committee officers in the 17th Legislative District over the weekend gave a near unanimous endorsement to Joseph James, who is taking on embattled Rep. Jim Dunn, R-Vancouver.
The secret ballot vote was 16-1. In a related story, Dunn in a precinct committee officer in the district.

UPDATE: The Columbian’s editorial board on Friday also recommended 17th District voters send James and Democrat Tim Probst to the general election. In doing so the board referred to Dunn as “the incumbent of intolerable incompetence” and said he is “worthless in Olympia.”
