Initiative 1000, this year's "death with dignity" measure, has qualified to be placed on the November ballot.
That's according to the Secretary of State's Office, which just sent out a news release.
More than 317,000 signatures were turned in and almost 225,000 valid signatures from registered voters were needed. More than 9,500 signatures were inspected and they had an invalidation rate of 10.2 percent.
Bottom line, initiative sponsors had well more than they needed to get the measure on the ballot.
