Just a few quick links for those of you who can’t get enough of what’s shaping up to be a barn burner of a gubernatorial race.
Both Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire and Republican challenger Dino Rossi are raising money out of state this month. Politickerwa.com has a story about a fundraiser being thrown for Gregoire today at the end of the National Governors Association conference in Philadelphia.
And David Postman at the Seattle Times writes today about Rossi getting help from governors in Hawaii and Texas, noting how Rossi had previously been critical of all the money Gregoire has raised outside of Washington.
Finally, Rich Roesler at the Spokesman-Review had this campaign overview in today’s paper.
UPDATE: PolitickerWa has a write-up on the latest Gregoire/Rossi poll, conducted by Republican polling firm Moore Information. It shows the race tied at 45 percent apiece. Other polls have consistently shown Gregoire to be ahead.
UPDATE: The Seattle P-I’s Strange Bedfellows blog reports that Rossi’s campaign paid for the poll. A quick check with the Public Disclosure Commission showed Rossi’s 2004 campaign spent $140,000 on services from Moore Information
