A senior research scientist at the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory on the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory campus will discuss microscopes and material science in Richland Tuesday.
Arun Devaraj will cover how knowledge from microscopes, including about nuclear reactors, can be used to change arrangements of atoms to make better materials.
The talk will be at a dinner meeting of the Eastern Washington Section of the American Nuclear Society at the Red Lion Hanford House. There is no charge to attend his talk, which starts at about 7 p.m., an hour after the dinner.
