Mission Support Alliance at Hanford has named Bob Wilkinson its new chief operations officer.
The Department of Energy contractor announced Monday that Dave Ruscitto is retiring, after holding the position since 2010.
Wilkinson has 20 years of experience at Hanford, most recently as manager of environment, safety, health and quality at Washington River Protection Solutions, the Hanford tank farm contractor.
He also was acting chief operations officer and manager of base operations at the tank farm contractor.
Never miss a local story.
“Bob has significant experience in the government sector in all aspects of operations — operating nuclear facilities, decontamination and decommissioning, tank farms, waste site remediation, waste packaging and treatment, project management, environmental compliance, construction management, engineering, emergency response, radiological control — and all phases of project execution,” said Bill Johnson, president of Mission Support Alliance, in a message to employees.
Wilkinson will join Mission Support Alliance on Feb. 17 and begin work as chief operations officer March 1.
Ruscitto has close to 38 years of experience in nuclear and civil engineering projects. His previous assignments have included work at Fluor Hanford, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and DOE at Rocky Flats, Colo., and Hanford.
“Dave has been a key player in MSA’s success over the past five years, and his leadership and guidance have been valuable to our company,” Johnson said.
