A new daily temperature record was set and another one was tied at Hanford thanks to the cold snap this week.
On Tuesday the high at the Hanford Meteorological Station was 20, the coldest on record for the date.
Previously, a high of 25 was recorded for Nov. 18 in 1955. On Monday the low as 10, tying the record low temperature record set for Nov. 17 in 1961.
Hanford keeps daily temperature records back to World War II.
Temperatures returned to closer to normal for November on Friday.
The National Weather Service predicts a 30 percent chance of rain today and Sunday in the Tri-Cities, with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the upper 30s.
