Azusa Pacific University student, Nathan Mather of Richland received a prestigious Fulbright Award for the 2015-16 school year.
Mather, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from APU on May 2, will work at a public school in Mexico as an English teaching assistant. Upon his return to the U.S., Mather plans to pursue a doctorate in counseling psychology.
“Living in cities with large Mexican-American populations has inspired me to learn more about the Mexican culture,” he said. “I hope this unique opportunity will make me a more culturally aware and experienced psychologist.”
