The Pasco School District is looking for interested community members to help develop the vision and principles for the district's three new elementary schools.
District officials have said the schools will potentially have science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, curricula, according to a news release. The STEM Summit, set from 4 to 9 p.m. Aug. 22, at the district's administrative offices will help guide the design of educational programs at the schools.
Parents, teachers, students, business owners, STEM professionals and others in the district are invited to participate but all must complete an application and have it turned in by Aug. 2. The application can be downloaded at www.psd1.org or be picked up at 1215 W. Lewis St.
