A Benton City woman was arrested after she broke into a Kennewick home and tried to steal a dog Thursday morning.
Braycie C. Baker, 24, was wandering around backyards on the 300 block of West 10th Avenue before she entered the house, police said.
Baker started to argue with the resident, then grabbed a small dog before trying to leave, but the resident shoved her out without the dog.
Police found Baker nearby and said she was uncooperative. She was booked into the Benton County jail at 3 a.m. for third-degree assault.
Drugs and alcohol may have been involved, police said.
