A Prosser man with a serious head injury may have been assaulted before he died.
On June 29, Bobby L. Goheen, 61, of Prosser was found unresponsive in his home on the 154000 block of West King Tull Road and taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. He died several days after going through surgery for internal bleeding, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
“It was determined that his injury was possibly caused by trauma,” said the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
The Benton County Coroner’s Office said they are awaiting further results from the autopsy. The cause of the man’s head trauma remains unknown.
Goheen lived with his girlfriend and had frequent visitors, said Dennis Morris, Benton County deputy coroner.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is now reaching out to people associated with Goheen and investigating any prior assault reports.
