A man was arrested Monday evening after negotiating with police for a couple of hours while holed up in a Kennewick apartment.
Andres D. Gonzalez was in custody as of 6 p.m., Kennewick police said on their Facebook page.
Gonzalez is being held on suspicion of second-degree domestic assault, unlawful imprisonment and attempted arson.
Police were called to The Cedars Apartments at 3400 W. First Place after getting a report of a disturbance, authorities said.

Officers then learned Gonzalez allegedly assaulted his sister while her three young children were in the apartment at the time. He also reportedly was armed with a knife.
The woman and children got out of the apartment, but their conditions were not immediately available. The Tri-City Regional SWAT team responded to the scene.
That section of West First Place, along with nearby First Avenue at Morain Street, were closed for some time because of the standoff.
