Three cars parked on a street in a Pasco mobile home park were damaged when a man crashed into them early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the Flamingo Trailer Park just after 5 a.m., when residents reported a red pickup hit the vehicles parked on the side of Crystal Drive.
The pickup struck the front of a silver car, pushing it backward as much as a car length into a black pickup, which was then pushed back into a white car. Part of the red truck’s front end was found at the scene.
The silver car sustained heavy body damage, and the collision also disengaged at least one of its front tires. The owners had only got the vehicle back from a mechanic the day before, police say.
The red pickup that caused the crash was seen heading east on Hopkins Street and police caught up with it at 18th Avenue and Lewis Street. The vehicle had extensive damage to its front end and lost a tire in the last half block before it was stopped by officers.
The driver, Rosalino Escobar Sanchez, 27, of Kennewick, was arrested and booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of DUI and three counts of hit and run.
