Kennewick police have arrested two people in connection with an attempted use of counterfeit money at a pharmacy.
Police were called to the Walgreens at Clearwater Avenue and Highway 395 late Thursday night for a report of someone trying to use a counterfeit $50 bill to make a purchase. Security footage showed it was a woman who had been reported before for trying to pass fake cash.
A tipster said the woman, identified as Nicolle Christian Sutherland, 23, of Richland, was staying at the Econo Lodge motel just across the highway from the pharmacy. She was found there, arrested and booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of forgery and multiple counterfeit cases.
Within hours of her arrest, investigators arrested Eric Nelson Presson, 20, in the 100 block of Conway Street. He allegedly is involved with the counterfeit attempts. He also was booked into the jail on suspicion of forgery.
Police are still looking for William V. Price, 60, who also is allegedly involved with Presson and Sutherland. Anyone with information of his whereabouts should call 509-628-0333.
