An 18-year-old from Pasco has been arrested in an alleged road rage incident that may have involved a pistol Wednesday near Columbia Center mall.
Hunter J. Simpson, who was driving a red Toyota pickup, is accused of honking, yelling and waving a pistol at another driver near the intersection of North Center Parkway and West Quinault Avenue, which is at the southwest corner of the mall.
The other driver called police at 5:55 p.m. to say that the pickup was following her, according to Kennewick police reports.
Officers stopped the suspect at the corner of North Kellogg Street and West Clearwater Avenue using precautions for a high risk traffic stop, according to police reports. Another 18-year-old man was a passenger in the pickup.
