The man suspected for holding up two people at gunpoint Thursday turned himself in.
Jeremy A. Schuler, 27, turned himself into Kennewick detectives around 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
He was arrested and booked in to the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
Schuler allegedly approached a 38-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy at the Conoco station on West Canal Drive, claiming he knew the teen, police said.
Schuler apparently asked the two for a ride about 12:30 p.m., then pulled a gun out near West Canal Drive and North Cleveland Street, police said. He demanded money and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Nearby Kamiakin High School was put on lockdown for a while as a precautionary measure.
Authorities searched the area, blocking off streets and bringing in a police dog, but Schuler got away.
